Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy governs refunds and cancellations for subscriptions to SerpObserver, operated by SerpObserver Technologies Pvt. Ltd. This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable Indian consumer protection regulations.
Eligible for Refund
- You were charged twice for the same subscription period (duplicate charge)
- You did not receive access to paid features after a successful payment
- Your account was blocked or suspended due to a technical error on our side
- You request a refund within 7 days of your first-ever paid subscription purchase
Not Eligible for Refund
- You changed your mind after subscribing
- You did not use the Service during the subscription period
- Your request is made after 7 days from the date of purchase
- Partial refunds for unused days in a billing period
- Renewal charges where we sent a renewal reminder at least 3 days in advance
- Downgrade from a higher plan to a lower plan mid-cycle
1. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to have access to paid features until your subscription expires.
We do not offer prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period upon cancellation, except as described in Section 2 (Refund Eligibility).
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis and are at the sole discretion of SerpObserver Technologies Pvt. Ltd. We will consider refund requests favourably in the scenarios listed in the "Eligible for Refund" section above.
7-Day Satisfaction Window: New subscribers (first-time paid subscription only) may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of their initial purchase if they are not satisfied with the Service, no questions asked. This applies once per customer.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@serpobserver.io with the subject line "Refund Request — [your registered email]" and include:
- Your registered email address
- Razorpay Payment ID or Order ID (found in your payment confirmation email)
- Reason for the refund request
- Date of purchase
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 7–10 business days. Refunds are credited to the original payment method.
4. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved:
- UPI / Net Banking: 2–5 business days
- Credit / Debit Cards: 5–10 business days (depends on your bank)
- Razorpay Wallet: 1–3 business days
Razorpay's refund processing timelines may vary. If you have not received your refund after the stated period, please contact your bank before reaching out to us.
5. Free Plan
The Starter (Free) plan does not involve any payment and is therefore not subject to refund or cancellation procedures. You may delete your free account at any time from Account Settings.
6. GST on Refunds
Refunds will be processed for the net amount paid. GST (Goods and Services Tax) collected on the original transaction will be refunded as part of the total refund amount in accordance with applicable GST regulations. A revised GST invoice will be issued for the refunded transaction.
7. Disputes
If you are not satisfied with our resolution of your refund request, you may contact us at grievance@serpobserver.io. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
