How to Integrate Google Search Console with SerpObserver
Combine GSC's impression and CTR data with SerpObserver's live city-level rankings to get the complete picture of your search performance in India.
What you'll achieve: By the end of this guide, your SerpObserver project will automatically pull clicks, impressions, and CTR from Google Search Console and display them alongside your live crawled rankings — giving you a unified SEO dashboard without switching tools.
Before You Start
- A verified Google Search Console property for your domain.
- A SerpObserver account on the Pro or Agency plan.
- At least one project created in SerpObserver with keywords added.
Open Google Search Console
Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with the Google account that owns your site property.
If you haven't added your site yet, click + Add Property, enter your domain or URL prefix, and complete the verification steps (HTML file upload or DNS TXT record).
Copy Your Property Identifier
Once your property is verified, copy the exact URL or domain from the property dropdown in the top-left of GSC. You'll need this in SerpObserver.
Generate a GSC API Key in SerpObserver
In SerpObserver, go to Settings → Integrations → Google Search Console. Click Connect GSC. You'll be redirected to a Google OAuth consent screen.
Grant the requested read-only permissions. SerpObserver only requests webmasters.readonly access — we never modify your GSC data.
Select Your Property
After OAuth completes, SerpObserver will list all GSC properties associated with your Google account. Select the property that matches the project you want to enrich with GSC data.
If your site is verified in GSC as a Domain property but you're tracking a subdomain in SerpObserver, select the domain-level property for the most complete data coverage.
View Combined Data in Your Dashboard
Once connected, SerpObserver will begin enriching your keyword table with GSC data within 24 hours. Each keyword row will now display:
- Impressions (how often your page appeared in search)
- Clicks from Google search results
- Click-through rate (CTR)
- Average position from GSC (compared with our live crawler data)
Set Up Automated GSC Syncs
By default, SerpObserver syncs GSC data daily at 6 AM IST. To change this, go to Settings → Integrations → Sync Schedule.
You can also trigger a manual sync from the project dashboard by clicking the Sync Now button in the top-right corner.
You're All Set!
Your Google Search Console data will now flow into SerpObserver daily. Head to your project dashboard to see the enriched keyword table with impressions, CTR, and click data.
